Story

Following Clare passing away 2 years ago on 28th July, I want to continue to help raise the awareness of breast cancer along with supporting Christies in the fight against cancer. After completing the Manchester 10km for a number of years, in 2014 I have decided to do something different and this weekend, I will be climbing the National three peaks with three others. Over a couple of days this involves driving up to 1000 miles on the journey and climbing three of the tallest peaks in the UK : Snowden in Wales - The Pyg track includes a distance of 7 miles (11km) up and down, and an ascent of 723 metres. Scafell Pike in England - The Seathwaite route is 9.5 miles long (15km) up and down, and includes 996 metres of ascent. Ben Nevis in Scotland - The Pony Track, this route is 10.5 miles long (17km) up and down, and includes 1352 metres of ascent. The Christie charity is especially close to me as not only did they provide Clare with her treatment but on 22nd November 2010, Clare opened the new trials and chemotherapy unit and helped bury a time capsule with a photo of her included. (http://www.christie.nhs.uk/about-the-christie/latest-news/2010/221110.aspx) Times are tough at the moment, however any amount you can spare to support the Christie and to give to this charity is greatly appreciated. We have been able to raise £4000 so far and I am aiming to pass the £5000 mark by the end of the year. Please share this link to friends and family and help sponsor me.
